Corvee: The Challenges of Tax Planning and How to Overcome Them
Wednesday Jun 22, 2022
Wednesday Jun 22, 2022
No person or corporation wants to overpay in taxes. According to Govinfo.gov, the tax code was over 60,000 pages the last time it was printed in 2018. That leaves a lot of opportunities to find strategies to make sure that the taxpayer is not overpaying. These strategies are hidden inside those 60,000 pages and require planning to be able to implement them. Determining strategies, selecting which methods to use, and developing an implementation plan are part of tax planning. Tax planning, when done right, can save a taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars. The first problem is that no tax preparer has time to read through 60,000 pages and find every strategy that applies to each of their clients. The next issue is convincing the taxpayer that putting in the extra time and resources to implement these strategies is worth the effort. In this course, we will join Corvee founder and CEO Andrew Argue to discuss what tax planning is, why it is essential, what barriers exist to successful tax planning and how Corvee can help tax preparers succeed.

Over the past two years, we have witnessed technology serve as a powerful enabler. Firms that have adopted the “new normal” have accelerated; maximizing performance and flexibility, enabling scalable growth, retained, and gained staff, improved bottom lines from reduced operating costs, and enhanced overall customer experience.
Following the tectonic shift to remote work, firms find themselves no longer limited to any one geographical location. Offering a flexible work from anywhere environment to help promote work-life balance, including the technology experience to support those needs, plays a key role in talent recruitment and retention, office moves, mergers, and acquisitions, and sets the groundwork for more strategic IT planning and growth.
During this webinar, we will arm you with tips and best practices you can bring back to your firm to better support a flexible workforce, manage your IT security, and enhance your technology experience for both your staff and your customers

Power Query and Power BI are genuinely incredible tools to revolutionize your workflow. They offer the promise of "write once, refresh many" reporting where your reports can be instantly updated in real-time with the click of a button. These tools can be hooked directly to your company's databases, accounting applications, enterprise resource planning solutions, etc. Once the connection is established, they can dynamically retrieve anything from the database and populate your reports. While incredible tools, these features require additional training and experience to master. This course series will review the different methods of connecting to your data and have multiple hands-on activities to help you master these incredible tools.
CPE Today has a brand-new learning tool to help you learn how to use Power Query and Power BI. We have created a public server with several sample databases to help you learn how to extract, transform and load data into your dashboards and spreadsheets. This tool will give you practical hands-on experience working with cloud databases from major accounting solutions, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and more. This course will provide you with the knowledge to turn your organization's actual data into repeatable refreshable pivot tables, Power BI dashboards, and more!
